Itty Bitty Riding Program

 

 

Welcome to Bella Rosa where we look forward to the opportunity to help you and your family explore the world of horsemanship and horseback riding.

We strive to provide a happy and safe environment for everyone; students, parents, visitors, horses, and instructors.

 

Itty Bitty Group Lessons

 

Our ITTY BITTY program is specially designed for riders from three to seven years of age.  The one hour group lead line lesson is preceded by a half hour of horsemanship training, while the student learns how to groom and tack up their pony

 

During tack up the riders will learn the importance of proper horsemanship and have the opportunity to bond with their horse. As students become independent in tack up and are able to walk, trot, steer, and stop their horse with good control they are eligible for group lessons. Students must demonstrate this ability on several of the school horses before joining a group.

Our itty bitty riders require a horse handler or “walker”.  We provide the walker for the lesson, however, there is an additional five dollar fee that is payable directly to the walker from the Itty Bitty Student.  The walker will assist in tack up and lead the pony during the riding portion of the class.
